Chinese Bataka (Bhungda Bataka)

Chinese Bataka is a fusion-style potato dish that combines the comforting taste of potatoes with bold Chinese-inspired flavors. Tossed in a tangy and spicy masala mix, this dish can be made with or without curd, offering a delicious twist to everyday potatoes. It’s quick to prepare and pairs perfectly with roti, paratha, or even as a standalone snack.


Ingredients:

  • 750 grams boiled potatoes (medium-sized pieces or small whole potatoes)
  • ½ cup curd (optional)
  • 50 grams Bharat Chinese Bataka Masala Mix
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander (for garnish)

Method:

a. Preparing the Potatoes:
Cut the boiled potatoes into medium-sized pieces or use small whole potatoes.

b. Mixing with Masala:
In a bowl, take curd and mix it with Bharat Chinese Bataka Masala Mix. Add the potatoes and coat them well with the mixture.

c. Cooking the Potatoes:
Heat oil in a pan, add the potato mixture, and stir well. Cook for a few minutes until the masala is well absorbed.

d. Without Curd Variation:
Skip the curd and mix the Chinese Bataka Masala directly with the potatoes. Heat oil in a pan, add the potatoes, and pour a little water before cooking.

e. Serve Hot:
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
